trying to install windows xp pro? problem with windows set up!

I formated my hard drive to install windows xp pro. Since I have done that
when I try to use the boot set up disc to start the install I get the
following error message:
*** stop: 0x000007e (0xc0000005, 0x8019c769, 0xf88be5bc, 0xf88be2bc)
does anyone know what this means?
it keeps saying that the computer has been shuit down to prevent damage and
says to check my bios settings to disable caching or shadowing?
I'm a bit lost!!
Best Regards,
Maria

.... and there may be a filename right after these numbers, which is pretty
important information.

Have you tried that? Watch the screen as the system starts from power-off
to find the key to press to get into the BIOS. Common keys are F2, DEL,
and F10.

Did the machine originally have XP on it? That message can indicate
hardware incompatibility, including a specific sound/game card.

How far did you get in the install, and how different is the machine from
its original configuration? When exactly does this error appear?
