It basically means you contact the software manufacturer for a fix; the
problem appears to be with the installer code or the information you're
giving it.
It's also difficult to suggest anything more specific without knowing the
application and version, but you can trigger this error by using any of
these unsupported characters in any of the fields you fill in, as you can
see in the page following:
@ - at sign
# - number sign
$ - dollar sign
% - percent sign
^ - carat symbol
* - asterisk
" - double quotes
( - left parenthesis
) - right parenthesis
