trying to fix Windows error with suuport.microsoft instuctions...help

Ever since using Win2K Professional, I occasionally get
the error "Files That Are Required have been
replaced....please insert your Win2K CD...".

I found a page in the MS Knowledge DB that addresses this
exact issue, but the instructions say:

6. When the list of available snap-ins are displayed,
click Certificates, and then click Add.

7. Click Computer Account.

I can't click Computer Account, because there is no such
thing. Is this supposed to be on the list where
certifiactes was, or a button, or a tab..? I've searched
my screen high and low and and found nothing even close to
that. All I have is Add and OK buttons. If I click ok it
brings me back to the MMC window, and Computer Account is
nowhere to be found there either.

Either I'm stupid or these instuctions are stupid. Either
way there is nothing I can do ever unless someone can tell
me what I can try. Any suggestions?

I might be able to scrounge around to figure out what you are alluding to. But it would be easier if you referred to the specific article of which you speak.

Now here is where you should get a dialog window where you can choose
one of three options:

My user account
Service Account
Computer Account.

You are not getting this? In fact nothing should appear in the Console

I dont' get anything of the sort.
