try and figure this one out?? NO RED

my monitor is working correctly, i've bought a new video
card and installed new drivers of all different types.
yet my computer refuses to use red. only blue and green.
please help if ya can...

Faulty cable or plugs?

....either that or your monitor could be on the way out, else your monitor
has a feature that allows you to adjust the amount of red in the picture and
it is set to 0. Try fiddling around with the configuration of the monitor.

First you need to determine if the problem is the monitor, the adapter card
or the cable. Look for bent pins in the connectors.
Take the monitor and cable to another machine and test, if OK, then the
problem is the adapter card. If it is new, return it.
