Trouble With Text Boxes

I can not resize text boxes after clicking on them. Worse, the program does
not respond to any commands, and must use Control Escape to "unhang" the
program.

If we save the file and put it on another computer, it responds just fine.

Is it the software as installed on my computer? or my computer?

You also want to make sure that the text box isn't automatically set to
"Resize shape to fit text." It won't resize if that option is checked.
