Trouble With Desktop icon

J

James

I accidently drag the small desktop icon from the quick launch toolbar
to the desktop, now when I try to drag it back to the taskbar and
release the mouse, it goes back to the desktop. Can anyone help me
with instructions on how to get the desktop icon bacl to the quick
launch toolbar?

Thank You
James

Right click Taskbar, Untick "Lock the taskbar" then try to drag the icon back to
quick launch.

If that doesn't work then paste the following in Start-Run :
"%appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch"

then drag the icon to the opened folder.

or-

1. Open Notepad,
2. Copy/Paste following lines in it :

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

3. Click File, Save as..
4. Copy/Paste the following line in File name box :
%appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Show Desktop.scf
5. Click OK

Good Luck, Ayush.
