Trouble starting Outlook 2007 or 2003

I had to format my hard disk and then reinstall MS Office 2003. After
reinstalling I selected Outlook and the following happened. A window saying
it was "migrating Account Settings" came up another window indicating my
office network email account and asking me to Check Name came up. When I
attempt to do so an error message window pops up stating "The name cannot be
resolved. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must
be online or connected to complete this action." When I press "OK" another
error message window pops up saying "Cannot open your default e-mail folders.
The file C:\Documents and Setings\Owner\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.ost is not an offline folder file." pops up.
When I press "OK" everthing disappears. I tried uninstalling Office 2003 and
installing Office Pro 2007 but still have the same problem. I am using a
wireless connection to the internet. I was able to have full functionality
using Outlook 03 prior to the hard drive format. Any suggestions out there.
Thanks.

Are you using an Exchange account? If not, use the Mail applet in Control
Panel to remove the Exhcnage account and add the type of account you need.
It's not a bad idea to start with a fresh mail profile.
