used the publish calendar tool in OL 2007 and published calendar fine
(yesterday). now when OL 2007 does its send/receive it cant connect and
update calendar. another person in the office has the same problem.

when i try and subscribe to someone else calendar it fails also. any ideas?
when it does the send/receive it does ask for, and i enter, my windows live
id.

does it tell you why it can't connect? does it give an error?

beta software tends to have a few bugs.

Error message is:
Task 'Publish Calendars' reported error (0xC1E04005) : 'There was a problem
with the request.'

Dont know if that narrows it down. like i say, it all worked fine yesterday
and today its a dog.

i 'Stopped Sharing' the calendar and got a message unable to perform task but
OL doesnt recognise that i have a published Calendar anymore. when i try and
publish again it fails.

Including the error messages always helps those trying to respond to your
question.
In this case, it doesn't help me, but maybe others have a better idea.

Were the new Microsoft Update patches applied to that machine overnight?
They were released on Tuesday, July 11. Is your machine set to
automatically apply them?

this is doing my head in mate. went to the www.windowslive.com site, selected
the 'login using enhanced...' then loged in selecting the 'Save password'
option (not happy about that), then went back to OL and published calendar
with no proble and also subscribed to the other persons calendar from work
and it all works fine. not sure now if that means i have to login to Windows
Live over Web every day for this to work but next time i shutdown or restart
i'll soon know and let you know. be very hany to have this feature as long as
it is easy to use.

BTW, my laptop had all the updates applied but the otherpersons didnt. using
the steps above both of us had success so it would seem the problem is not in
the patch's

it works! the key seems to be the 'login using enhanced security' option. i
restarted the laptop, didnt open a web page, started OL and it posted my
calendar and downloaded updates from the other persons calendar without
having to sign in. hopethis helps someone.
