Trouble Pasting Text into Tables

I'm using PowerPoint 2002. If I create a new table (say, 2 x 2) and type
text into the table cells, the Ruler Tab & Indent settings work fine.

If, however, I paste text in from some other program, the Ruler Tab & Indent
tools do not work correctly. The pasted-in text always has a first-line
hanging indent of about 1/4", even though the ruler settings plainly show
that all the text should be flush left.

This is a real pain. Anybody know if there's a fix for this bug?

I've had trouble with this too, Steve.
Can't quite recall how or if I got around this...
I'm using PPT 2002 as well.

My experience tells it will help explicitly to Paste as (plain text)
