trouble opening new window

When I open a link and it opens in a new window, the new window "freezes".
Window pops open but the content of the window doesn't show. The old window
still works properly. Same link opens with other browsers, but it doesn't
open a new window. Anybody have a clue what's wrong with my browser?

What version of Windows are you using?

First, update/reinstall your scripting engines from here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/webdev.asp

If no joy, go to File Types (My Computer...Tools...Folder Options...File
Types tab)
Scroll down to the URL: Hypertext Transfer Protocol file type, click to
highlight, click Edit, click Open, click Edit (slightly different with Me -
click to highlight, click Advanced, click Open, click Edit).

Application used: "C:\PROGRA~1\INTERN~1\iexplore.exe" -nohome
Use DDE box should be checked
DDE Message: "%1",,-1,0,,,,
Application: IExplore
DDE...not running: <blank>
