With onboard graphics, boot to xp w/o the add-in card (run board graphics),once
its up and running, open device mgr, display adapter, expand the tree,R.click on
it select,uninstall,(do not restart computer),close out,shutdown pc.Install
add in
card,start pc,set BIOS for card,once in xp,exit new hardware wizard,reopen
device mgr,uninstall on board,exit device,install drivers/software for new
card,
once thru, restart computer.Youre now set up with both.....

hey i had to beat the clock and disable the online graphics board before it
was auto detected and auto installed again after alredy instaling the 3d
graphics card and having the computer reboot to disable it click on the start
bar at the botem right of your screen and go to administrative tools and
select computer managment then down the list select device manager and then
display adapters and disable the online graphics and if nesercery go to
action and select scan for hardware changes and your graphics card should
then be detected and instaled thats how i done it hope this helps cheers if
you can't get into administrative tools throught the start menue try and find
it somewhere else on your computer and i hope you beat the time before your
computer restarts hopfully it wont take so long for your computer to load
like mine did you gota be quick all the best.

Do you know how to use punctuation? While you're at it, why not use all
upper case too.

Ok I kinda understand what you are saying, but not about beating the clock.
How can I beat the clock before startup? There is no screen yet to see. I
know how to disable the onboard card. I was told that I do that, shut the
computer down insert the card and then the computer auto detects it. Which it
does, because at startup I can see its reading the card.

but now when it comes up the screen is really slow, when I move windows
around it re-draws reallyslow. And its acting like I have a second monitor
hooked up so I cant see the other half of my desktop. I only have one
monitor hooked up, but its acting like I have two and I cant get it to stop
doing that.

Any suggestions?

You need to go into the computer BIOS settings and disable the onboard video there first, then
Windows will never even see that it exists. Install the updated video card drivers from the
manufacturer of the video card and you should be all set.
