i am trying to free up space and delete a program i downloaded called
musicmatch. it is a BIGG file.the control panel add/remove does not allow me
to remove it and when i go to my computer and right click to delete,it
starts, then an error message that says cannot delete mmtask.exe. acess is
denied.

i am the administartor on my home pc so what gives??

any ideas?

The mmtask.exe file starts up at boot which is why you can't delete it. Try
hitting ctrl+alt+delete go to the processes and stop mmtask.exe. Then you
will be able to delete that folder. You might also want to run a registry
cleaner afterwards to clean the remnants of Musicmatch out of the registry.

I am having a sort of similar problem?, have been trying to delete two
applications in add\remove programmes but each time i click on remove I get a
pop up box which states"InstallShield(R)SetupLauncher has encountered a
problem and needs to close" so I cannot delete the applications.
Have tried to delete through Drive C on My Computer but all I get is as this
is aExe file delete access denied. Maybe I'm wrong but is'nt there an option
somewhere in the system to repair a wizard?. Have also tried system Restore
but no go!.
Anyone any ideas how I get round this one?.
Thanks, DAD 1.
