trouble converting ppt to post on web

I have a ppt presentation with sound files that I need to post on the web.
I'd like this posted as a presentation, to open as a show, not in Powerpoint.
We'd like the viewer to not have any editing ability to the ppt.
I've tried creating as a .pps, but lose the sound clips, or sometimes retain
only the sound on the first slide and then loose the rest. Also tried
converting to html, but then it open up in ppt.
Please help!

Have you tried saving as single-file HTML (MHT) and posting that?
It's not perfect and won't work with all browsers, but might be what gets you
closest to what you're after.

Yes, tried that, but then to view it, it opens in PPT, which we don't want.
We want it to look like a video to the viewer, not see it in ppt. Any other
suggestions would be appreciated. thanks,

There are products that either convert PPT to various video/flash formats or record
a running presentation and save as video or flash.

You might want to try one of those.

Articulate ( http://www.articulate.com/ ) is a good choice for Flash.

Camtasia from TechSmith is popular for recording and saving as video/flash
