Trouble connecting to the internet

My kids have downloaded something to my PC. If we are
logged on to Win XP as an Administrator IE 6.0 will not
connet to the internet. On the same system if I log on as
a guest I can access the internet with IE 6.0 find. Any
have any suggestions how to fix this.. I can ping sites
as an admin and get responses just my default web page
does not appear in the task bar.

Work through the solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
