Trouble attaching zip files

One of my clients in not able to attach zip files in Outlook 2000. When she
clicks on the file she wants to attach, the Insert button changes to Open.
Even if she selects one of the 3 drop down menu options (from the Insert
button), it still tries to open the zip file. Outlook then freezes and I
have to end the outlook.exe process. Any ideas on a solution for this?

Can the user drag and drop the attachment in? Trying to figure out if
attachments work at all...

Only zip files are affected. I'll have her try to drag and drop and see what
happens. Thanks for the suggestion.

Are zip files being seen in Windows Explorer as separate files or as
folders?
