Looked this up on the internet. Tried following online instructions with no
result.

Norton / Symantec didn't stop me getting it, but keeps telling me that it's
blocking it EVERY BLOODY 10 SECONDS. What a waste of money that was.

Paid online for another spyware prog "spyware doctor" which assured me that
it would get rid of it.
Finds
Backdoor.SD.bot.AAD
and trojan.exe
and C:\WINDOWS\system32\rdriv.sys

every time I scan, but does nothing with them to fix the problem.

My system wont start in safemode. The monitor just switches itself off.

I've wasted money on 2 progs now to get rid of this thing.

PLEASE HELP.

Sooo, you'd prefer Norton let it pass and not tell you? Just turn off the
protection then! But you'll become infected, so be prepared for that.

Did you READ any of the screens about what it did, and what it recommended
YOU do? Obviously not; RTFM!

That's really unfortunate; you do have to be careful since throwing money at
a problem is often the wrong thing to do in computing.

PLEASE HELP.

Have you updated the Norton virus files within the last week? If not, do so
and run another complete scan from Safe Mode. Be sure you do it from Safe
Mode.

Do you have a firewall? If not, ZoneAlarm makes a free one that will serve
you well.

Obtain at least three spyware detection programs. I use Adaware from
lavasoft.com, Spybot from Spybot.com, Winpatrol from winpatrol.com, and
Windows Defender.
No singe program can detect ALL malware; it's a long story why, but it's
true. So download, install, update and run at least three of them. My bet
is one or more of them will find things to clean that will straighten out
your machine.

I noticed someone recommended HiJack This, which is a good program, but ...
you'll be pretty much ignored in posting the log until you can say you' ve
done most of the work mentioned above here.
