Trimmed clips changes movie from 30 --> 4 frames per sec

I have some mpeg 2 video clips imported from VHS tapes, at 30 fps. I play
them in WMM and they play fine. That until I trim off anthing from the
beginning of a clip. After that, they only show (and record) at about 4 fps.
The action is moving along at the correct pace, but many frames are dropped.
If I restore the trimmed section of the clip, all is well again.

Thanks for some help!

WMM doesn't always like MPEG.

1) do your editing using the software you used to create the original MPEG
files or,
2) see what happens when you run the whole MPEG file through WMM and save it
in either .WMV or .AVI. If it's OK then edit that file saving it again in
..WMV or .AVI.

You likely will not have success saving the MPEG as a WMV in Movie
Maker, especially since it is an MPEG2, and in fact you are lucky to have it
playing at all. If you want to edit the cap in Movie Maker then I suggest
converting the MPEG to AVI and importing that into Movie Maker. For
conversion software and information see this website:
