Hi, I was hoping maybe someone could help me. when I boot up my computer
(Dell) windows xp, i get a message stating "Trayctl.exe unable to locate
componet psystray.pyd the application failed to start"
but yet my computer still boots up, and runs ok, its just a little
slow.
Im using avg virus scan.
other than that, everything seems to be ok. Is this a major problem?
if so or how can i fix it.
Thankyou so much,
Kelly

"Trayctl.exe" belongs to some sort of web accelerator program such as comes
with Earthlink or AT&T dialup. Do you have that sort of Internet
connection?

Use the System Configuration Utility to disable it from starting with
Windows or, if you really like the program, uninstall/reinstall with the
latest version downloaded from your ISP.

Start>Run>msconfig [enter]

This brings up the System Configuration Utility. Look on the Startup tab and
find the probable culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, Apply and OK
out. You don't need to restart immediately, but the next time you do you'll
get a dialog saying you've used the Utility. Just tick the box that says in
effect, "don't bother me about this again".
