Transferring

When I insert my SD card into my PC a type of Task Manager (what is the
correct name for this?) comes up asking how I want to transfer these files.
How can I activate this dialog box again without having to re-insert the
memory card?

Most of the ways of transferring photos seems to involve renaming the files.
To avoid losing information stored on the files I don't want to change the
names, using which action would allow me to do this?

Can you copy photos directly to a CD without first transfering to your hard
drive?

TIA

==============================
To re-open your AutoPlay screen...go to...
My Computer...right click the icon for your
card reader and from the menu...choose...
AutoPlay.

And...you could create a shortcut for the
card reader on your desktop to make it
more convenient.

Just right click the card reader's icon and
from the menu...choose...Create Shortcut.
You should see a dialog that states:
"Windows cannot create a shortcut here.
Do you want the shortcut to be placed on
the desktop instead? *Yes*.

Another way to view the contents of your
memory card...would be go to...My Computer...
and left click the icon for the card reader.

Just copy the files directly from your memory
card to a folder on your hard drive...bypassing
all software.

To omit the problem of renaming files because
the same name already exists...read the
documentation for your camera and find the
setting that allows consecutive numbering.

Navigate through the folders on your memory
card and when you see the image file names
go to...
Edit / Select All
Edit / Copy

Now, open your burning software and
choose to make a Data Disk. On the
screen that allows you to Add Data to the
Disk...right click / Paste the files.
(also you could...Drag and Drop)...
Burn the disk.
