Transfering videos from Movie Maker onto DVD

Can any one tell me how to get my video onto DVD from Windows Movie Maker. I
can transfer onto CD and but would like to use DVD. I think I need some
more softwear any recommendations? Thanks

In case you have a DVDRW installed in your PC, try Arcsoft Showbiz or WinDVD
creator.

There are a number of software authoring/burning programs, but
my favorite (and others on here too) ended up being Ulead's Movie Factory.
You can get a trial download of it at Ulead's site.....www.ulead.com .
I think the std. edition is still $50 or so. However, also check the
software

I 2nd dickmr's motion for Movie Factory. I have tried quite a few different
DVD authoring programs to find the one I liked best and have not found
another that is as easy to use and as feature rich as Movie Factory.

I think so Wojo....Originally I downloaded and tried many many programs.
I have Click to DVD on my Vaio and it often 'dinged' me into poverty by
ruining
a lot of my blanks, so I went in search of STABILITY. After a lot of them
bounced me around or were too complex or too costly, I actually somehow
stumbled
upon Movie Factory. And like you I think it is really great. I used to
like making
photo slide shows in it too, until I got toooooo good for my own good at
doing that
in Movie Maker and using all the stuff I bought. It has gotten so bad that
my wedding stuff even brings tears to my eyes!! I have now learned that
taking wide
still shots down and across the walls of a church, and then stringing them
together
and PANNING them is better than a video of the same thing. Thats cuz the
definition
of the pictures is greater and you can control the pans. I'm learning every
day!!
Now if I could only get people to stop coughing during the service...the
kids I don't mind crying since they add a little ambiance to the scene! ha
ha ha

I had the same experience with a few different coaster creators.

After a lot of them
bounced me around or were too complex or too costly, I actually somehow
stumbled
upon Movie Factory. And like you I think it is really great. I used to
like making
photo slide shows in it too, until I got toooooo good for my own good at
doing that

It was the ease of use and functionality that originally sold me on Movie
Factory and now I agree with the stability part since I have burned
countless DVD's and have never ever created a coaster.

Yup that's is 100% correct. With weddings the shots that are important to
capture on video are the exchanging of the rings, the "you may kiss the
bride" and the minister presenting Mr. & Mrs. .....
Outside of that I prefer working with still images.

I know, audio editing is something I want to get into next but mixing and
resampling is so tedious and the good software is expensive.

Isn't it amazing how fast your toolbox of programs grows. Different programs
used for different effects. I think I am going to do that next on my
website. Create a video using all my different tools to show that you don't
need one program exclusively and actually shouldn't limit yourself in that
way.
