Transfering Pysol-4.41 between two PC's

Hi....

( Solitaire game mentioned is Pysol-4.41 ) .

A: I have (2) PC;s. I boot up one of them. I then highlight the
game, and drop/drag it to a USB External HDD. That's simple enough! I
check it and there it is on the External HDD. Yippee!

B: Then, I shut down that Ist PC, and boot up the other one. I then
transfer the External USB HDD to the newly booted PC.

C: From 'My Computer', of the second PC, I drag/drop that game
from the External HDD into MY DOCUMENTS. I now have the game on both
PC's! Yeah!!

But the Solitaire game on the second PC, REFUSES to boot .no matter
which directory I put it into! I've tired at least six differnt
targets. What's worse, it will not boot from the USB External HDD
either.!!!

Frustration and confusion reign and efficiency rears its ugly head,
and they call it, "Computing!

Thanks for any help you may offer!

You cannot just move the program files to another computer. You need to
install it from the installation media - either a cd or an executable
that you downloaded from the Internet.

Hi again Malke, or M.r. Malke. I burned a DVD copy of the game. It
plays on the PC on which I burned it. To be sure it didn't play from
memory, I clicked on the actual DVD designation in MY COMPUTER, But
the DVD will not play on that 2nd PC. I'm whipped!

As Malke said, you can not normally run a program on a
different computer than the one it was installed on. Simply
copying the files to a DVD from its install directory
doesn't add all the different hooks into the operating
system that the program needs to operate properly. Install
it from its original source CD or executable file.

The reason that it probably ran from the DVD on the original
computer is that the proper "hooks" were already installed
in the OS.
