Transfer/Import Outlook Messages/Contacts from Old Computer to New

I just bought a new computer and transferred the Outlook Express 6.0 folder
from my old computer to my new computer. However, I can't seem to get all the
messages/contacts I had stored in the old program to load in the new one.
This is vital information for me and I need those messages/email addresses to
operate my business. Can someone please help me? Thanks!

Did you make sure all the transferred files were read-write, instead of
readonly,
before you imported them into Windows Mail? Did you also do this to the
..wab file, which contain the contacts? When selecting the files to import,
did
you select the directory containing them instead of opening this directory?

If you used Outlook Express on the old computer (your subject makes this
unclear whether it was Outlook Express or Outlook), see
