Transfer Contacts to Personal Address Book

Office 2003

OK, I created a Personal Address Book. When I open [Address Book] in Outlook
I can see both "contacts" and my personal address books in the "Show names
from the" dropdown.

I want to copy/transfer address from my "contacts" to the personal address
book.

How?

What I had expected is for the Outlook Address Book dialog to have this
feature under Files menu or Tools menu, but it looks like MS goofed again.

I need to have seperated Address Books (not Contact lists).

@#!#@!! Outlook should have the option to create new contacts and copy/paste
contents of one contact list to another WITHIN THE ADDRESS BOOK.

What I want to see is, open Address Book and use the drop-down on the left
and be able to choose from more than one "contacts." I can do this IF I
could get the PBA I created to contain the address information I want from
Contacts WITHOUT having to manually input each entry in the PBA.

And, yes I've tried copying Contacts but the new "Contacts1" does not show
up in the Address Book drop-down list.

Reread Brian's post. You've missed the point. There is no such thing as an
address book in Outlook. The address book is only a view of your Contact
Folders. All Contact data is stored in Contact Folders and always has been.
No data is ever stored in an "address book." Give it up, already.
Organize your Contact data into separate Contact Folders if you wish. You
can easily display any Contact Folder in your Address Book view by enabling
it as an email address book in its properties.

Oh really?

Humm.... lets see....yap there's a button on the Outlook 2003 Toolbar whoes
Tool Tip says "Address Book"

Lets see.... you click [Address Book] and, sure enough, you get a dialog
window with the title bar that says "Address Book."

Russ, tell me again, Outlook 2003 does not have an Address Book?

That dialog is what I've been messaging about all this time.

What is a PBA? All you need to do is configure your address book view. That
method is posted here several times a day.
