In the previous versions of Word that I have used, I was able to hide
the track changes when forwarding a document. How do you do this
with Word 2003. When I forward an email with a document as an
attachment, it is showing the track changes and I don't want it to.
How do I fix that? Thanks!!
You only *think* you were able to hide tracked changes from email recipients
in previous versions. In reality, they were there all the time. The
difference now is that if the recipient has Word 2003, the default is to
display the tracked changes when opening the document. This is supposed to
be a security feature.
The only way to prevent tracked changes from being visible is not to send
them at all. Make a copy of the document, accept or reject all changes in
that copy, and send the copy. The original with the changes intact must stay
on your computer.
