track changes problem

When I delete text with track changes selected my deletions are highlighted
as italic rather than strikethrough.

Does anyone know why this is and, how to resolve the problem.

You can change how deleted text is displayed. Exactly how
depends on the version of Word you have, which you don't say, but
you can look it up in the Help menu.
