to remove a program

Hello,
Is there any body who knows how to change the setting for
add/remove tool. When I click on the icon, there are no
programs listed. Somebody told me that I can go to
Administrative Tools, and change the setting so I may be
able to install or remove a program. Your help is
appreciated.

Are you logged on under the Administrator account (or whatever it may have
been renamed)? Or under an account that is in the Administrators group so
you have those privileges? Otherwise, it sounds like you are logging on
under an account which is denied the privilege to install and remove
programs.
