Titles/credits mm XP

I have been using Windows Movie maker for quite along time, all of a
sudden My titles and credits, no longer work, I can not even add them in, I
have tried everything I know of, except re formating my cpu, and doing it
that way, and that is the last thing that I want to do.. Can any one help me
with an update or anything like that? or some kinda fix thanks..

What file types do you have on the timeline?
Do you have the latest drivers for your graphics card?

Do you have the latest version of directX?
Did you make any changes to your pc when this problem arose? Like running
antivirus/anti malware/Antispyware software? Installed/uninstalled any
programmes?
Have you tried system restore back to when it worked?
