Title Text Shadow control PPT2007

Has anyone found a way to control the shadow of a title text box (the one
that says "click to edit title") on a slide master in PPT 2007 other than
getting rid of the place holder and adding a manual text box in its place? I
would like to use a text effects shadow so I can control depth - but it will
not allow it for placeholders text boxes.

Mack,
It works here. Just select the title placeholder. To do so click on the edge
so it becomes a full line in stead of a dotted line. On the contextual
drawing tab click on Format, in the WordArt styles group click on the
texteffects button, choose a shadow, or click on the shadow options link
below and choose whatever color or setting you want.

Sorry, probably should have mentioned I am having to work in compatibility
mode (some of the group are still on '03). When in compatibility mode, the
shadow options are not selectable (basically grayed out).
