Just got my new hardware....

Opteron 165 on DFI mainboard and other sundries.

Now to try out XP 64bit ... or should I just jump on the Vista 5365 release?

You should use XP 32 bit because if you don't use a mature
OS, you won't be able to verify stability *if* there is a
problem.

Then after doing that, if it's just a toy you don't need to
rely on, go ahead and try a beta of Vista, or XP64 if you
plan to depend on the system.

Yeah it could be a nightmare trying to track down errors in a beta
version of an OS.

At this point I dont want ANY hassles whatsoever.

I might try a dual boot install Vista beta on my second system for the
fun of it after I get it going since Ive got my first one stable
again.
