Tiff Attachments

I

Ian McCulloch

Hi there

Strange - Windows 2k SP4 and I just upgraded the e-mail client from OE 6 to
O2K3

When I go to open an e-mail attachment (like a fax) the image takes up the
entire window and I have to go to task manager to get back to the Outlook
Application.

Why would the attachment be taking up the entire screen when I open it and
not in its own window?

Please help

Ian

Are you opening a TIFF attachment? In which viewer application does it open?
Does this happen with any TIFF file even when opened outside of the mail
client? I am guessing that the viewer application is taking up full screen
by default, and it should possible to set an option to make it not take the
entire screen.

Ian,

Can you confirm which application is set as the default Application for
viewing TIFF files? You can get this thru 'Control Panel | Folder Options |
File Types' under TIF/TIFF.

It seems like your TIFF file is opened in the "Reading View" of the MS
Office Document Imaging Application which takes up the full screen. Does
hitting an ESC take you back to the normal view?

Thanks,
Surya
