Thumbnails for mp3 files

Hi

Does anyone know how Windows Vista Stores thumbnails for mp3 files. On
my Vista some mp3 files show the right album thumbnail but I can not
find the image file. Is this a shell extension?

I assumed it was kept as an ID3v2 tag within the file.

that image is a hidden file, you have to set windows to view hidden files in
order to see it
