Thumbnail View Question - JPG vs. BMP

Here's an oddball question.

One of the upper Level Managers here at Hektoen just had
some upgrades installed, Office 2003 and I'm not sure what
else they reconfigured, but he's still operating
Windows2000, on a Dell laptop.


Since the upgrade, it seems that in his Windows Explorer,
when he switched to the thumbnail view, instead of jpgs
getting displayed, only bmps are displayed.

Know how to reset his system to display the jpg?
