thumbnail software needed

I download a lot of pics on websites, but a lot of the time, they are
thumbnails. I want the FULL image. Are there any software titles out
there that will download the full version of the photo? I imagine it
would be like a macro type of setup, where the software would click on
the thumnail, enlarging it to it's full size, and then saving the
captured file to disk. Of course it would help if it would be a batch
process, enlarging and saving each thumbnail it comes across.

any help would be appreciated. thanks!

I am not an expert in this, but I think it is a matter of WYSIWYG (what you
see is what you get)

If the image you are downloading is a thumbnail, then that is what is on the
web site. Thumbnails are usually smaller versions of the original - they do
not have a larger image, although clicking on them will usually open that
larger image.

But if you can see the larger image, then that is what you will download.

hi. These are not thumbnails, per se, as they can be enlarged by just
clicking on them. Just wanted to clarify. I know there is a piece of
software out there that can perform such an operation, and perform a
batch download of pics. There has to be one!

Anyway, thanks for your help. thanks.

It is still possible that they are thubmnails. One can set up a thumnbnail
such that clicking on it opens another larger image.

It is also posssible that they are the same image. In HTML one can specify
the size of the image to be displayed. This opens the full size image but
reduces the size that you see. Then clicking on it could open the full size
image. It all depends on how the web page is written.

In either case, you can find, and download the larger image (on a case by
case basis). But I read that you want to do this as a batch operation, so
good luck with finding the software - it sounds interesting.
