Karen,
A couple of things you can try to see if we can narrow this down are:
1) Remove your printer device from the Printer and Faxes Control Panel and
re-install the printer driver. Perhaps there was some sort of file corrupt
that doesn't affect how programs like Word or Paint print, but affect other
programs. Re-installing the driver might resolve this issue.
2) Install a generic printer driver. Microsoft provides generic
alternatives for most printers. To install a generic driver, again remove
the current device from the Printers and Faxes Control Panel, then walk
through the Add Printer wizard. When you get to the section with the
Manufacturer list and Printer list, find Epson under Manufacturers and find
the closest match under Printers for your model. (I think Epson Stylus
COLOR 600 ESC/P 2 may be the closest match, but I can't say for sure.)
3) If you still cannot print after steps 1 & 2, I would suggest contacting
Atari's Technical Support (

They developed the Thomas series and would know better than anyone how to
get things working for you.

The Pc is connected to an Epsom Stylus 600, and yes he
can print directly to it from Paint and Word.

outside of the game (for instance, Word documents or Paint documents)?

my son has various childrens games loaded on his PC,but
when he tries to play his thomas game it says it cannot
find the hdc printer caps, and he cannot print his
certificates. Can anyone tell me how I can retify this
problem.
