This is my first posting on groups.. but ill do my best.. i cant extend my desktop

OK heres the problem.. I cannot extend my desktop but im sure my video
card is good enough to do it. It is an Nvidia Geforce MX 4000 . i have
downloaded the latest drivers for it and i have followed the microsoft
instuctions to extending my sesktop but the problem is that when i
restart my computer it does not detect the television attached to the
svideo port... and when u go to display settings there is no option to
extend ur desktop... ive been tryign to figure this out for months.. if
someone could please help.

To extend a desktop you need a card with two VGA ports, and a
second monitor -- not a TV. The S-video port is VIDEO OUT, not a
VGA port. You can e.g. play DVD's on your computer and use the
S-video to output to a TV.
