I need help desperately. I have a Verizon Wireless Card 5750 which my
computer recognizes and the software doesn't recognize. I have been on the
telephone with Verizon Wireless Technicans as well as live chat and even
spent 3 hours in one of their Corporate Stores the other evening. I
purchased a VZ Card 5740 back in Feb., 2007 and it worked just fine until
around the end of July, 2007. I was working on it one day and then the next
day, the card didn't light up nor did the VZ Manager come up. I called VZ and
a technician told me it sounded like the card was not any good and since it
was in warranty, he would send me a new one. Unfortunately, the one he sent
me was a refurbished one and it didn't work., so another technician sent me a
brand new card only this time it was a PC575-. I tried re-installing the
software several times as well as looking on the Device Manager where I get
the error message that is in the subject line: "This device cannot find
enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)". I have talked to Gateway
Technicians who said that they do not give advice for third party software
problems., and then last night, one of their Technicians told me to 'RESTORE
MY SYSTEM". which I haven't done because, I have never done that before and
don't know if I will lose my working papers or not. I took the laptop to
Best Buy (that is where I purchased the notebook) and talked to a Geek Person
two times., the last time, the Geek Techician told me that the card was o.k.
in another laptop and then he tried other cards such as a Sprint card in my
notebook and they worked just ifne!

I need some help - can anyone help me?
Thanks.

Can't help w/the card problem but I can help, from experience, with
something IMPORTANT: " I have never done that before and don't know if I
will lose my working papers or not" shows you need to immediately learn how
to BACKUP. Do it first--then get on to less important things like Verizon
cards. HTH, s
