The target principle name is incorrect

When I double click on "Active Directory Users and
Computers" under Administrative tools, I get the following
error message -> Naming information cannot be located
because: The target principle name is incorrect. How can
this be fixed?

2000 server also?

Try resetting the computer password and look at the event viewer for more
information.
