The tab "Security" (properties on files and catalogues) is gone

The tab "Security" (properties on files and catalogues) is gone. It's does
not help if I logging on as sysadmin, it is simply completely disappeared
(
Please, help ..

Windows XP Home or Pro?
In any case, you need to be using NTFS and not FAT32.
To check:
Open My Computer, Right click the drive, click Properties.
What does it say by "File System"?
To convert to NTFS:

Data should be safe, back-up important data just in case.

Disable "Simple File sharing" in the "Folder Options" to view the Security
tab. Also, you must be using NTFS F/system.
