The system could not log you on - Windows 2000

I cannot get a Windows 2000 computer to logon automatically with a user who
has a password. I get a messge of "The system could not log you on. Make
sure your user name and domain are correct, then type your password again."
Letters in passwords must be typed using the correct case. Make sure that
the caps lock is not accidentally on."

There is no domain set, just "workgroup." I started up the system with one
user to be always the login in but need to change it to another
(automatically).

How do I do this?

Hi,

Please try logging in as local administrator and try rechanging the
password for that specific user.
