The SOA record for the Active Directory zone was not found

Hi,

I just ran

dcdiag /v /test:DNS

on one of my Domain Controllers (which is working fine) and as part of
the output I got:

The SOA record for the Active Directory zone was not found

Can anyone help me find the cause of this warning?

Thanks,

Ian M

Hello Ian,

Active directory depends on DNS so please check:

1. set the DNS address on DCs pointing to itslef.
2. Make sure all SRV records are corrent and pointing to correct IP.
3. Make sure that Active Directory zones are correctly configured

Already done.

Already done.
3. Make sure that Active Directory zones are correctly configured

Exactly what do you mean by this?

Will do.

Thanks,
