the sims2

upon loading the game, a message pops up saying that it had detected CD/DVD
emulation software & it must be disabled to continue, how can i do this.

my daughter cannot play the game.

i have tried everything to no avail.

please help.

Hi elsamandra,

Hover your mouse over all the little icons next to the time on
your taskbar, post them here, and I'll try to detect which one
is causing your game to generate that error.

Hello, any of the following programs on the machine can cause it to trip up:

Fantom CD Emulator
Alchhol 120%
Nero Image Drive
Phantom CD
Clone CD
Ark Virtual Drive

EA have an article on it up here http://tinyurl.com/5u4un basically you'll
need to either disable or uninstall them to run the Sims 2.
