My administrator told me that Many traffic on my port 445, but no virus,no
worms,no any spyware.

After I disable this port, the traffic will down.

How can I find what is the problem?

OS:
Windows 2000 pro.

App. Software:
office 2000
VS .net 2003
MSN messenger
Yahoo messenger
etc.

There normally is a lot of traffic on port 445 TCP as it is used for file
and print sharing as the server component. To find out specifics you would
need to use a packet sniffer like Ethereal to see where the traffic is
coming from/going to and for what purpose. If your computer is sending the
traffic out on port 445 TCP, you could install a software firewall on it
like the one from Sygate [free 30 day trial] to see which applications are
sending traffic on that port. --- Steve
