The policy software restriction policies

Hi, anybody know if th softwre restriction policies that
use in windows 2003 y windows xp. i can use in windows
2000 client o server and i where notice about it.

Unfortueately it will not work on any operating system before XP Pro
including Windows 2000. You will have to rely on group membership [keep
users as regular users if possible], ntfs permissions, and W2K Group Policy
that includes settings in the user configuration/administrative
templates/system folder. It may help to add install.exe and setup.exe to the
list of disallowed Windows applications. Look at the other settings in that
folder and be sure to read the full explaination of any setting before
implementing. Users may be able to bypass disallowed applications if they
can execute a renamed executable that is in the list. --- Steve
