OK. The user downloaded spy ware and dont know much what he did beyond that,
not even he knows. When you open ie6 you get 'The Page Cannot Be Displayed'
error.
The net connection is good, its on a corporate lan and it works. If you open
my computer and put say www.google.com in the address bar ie6 opens and goes
to www.google.com and works normaly. But it will not work from the ie6 icon,
i.e. it doesnt matter which url. There are no restrictions on the machine
and the user has admin rights. I did a KB search and found KB 326155 and
followed everything and it still does not work. Same with
http://www.theeldergeek.com/repair_ie6.htm
I'm just trying to avoide a wipe and rebuild of the machine. Please post to
the NG that way people can search it also if you could send me an email it
would be great.
