The Network is not present or not started

Can anybody help me configuring network services on a Win
2k sytem that pops the following error while trying to
create a network: "The Network is not present or not
started"
I recently removed Norton Personal Firewall from this
machine.

Usually you get that error when you don't have the client for microsoft
networks installed. Are you missing that?
