When closing Outlook 2003, it immediately opens with a
dialogue window with the following message:

The macros in this project are disabled. Please refer to the online help or
documentation of the host application to determine how to enable macros.

When opening the program it immediately opens with a dialogue window with
the following message:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\STARTUP\PDFMaker.dot

Contains macros by

Adobe Systems Incorporated

Macros may contain virues. It is usually safe to disable macros, but if the
macros are legitimate, you might lose some functionality.

The ssecurity level is set to high. Therefore, you can not enable macros
from sources you do not trust.

It has the option to disable macros or for more info.

How do I disable these messages?

Are you using the PDFMaker application? If not, remove it. If so, you can
rid of the message either by turning off Word as your email editor or
changing the security level in Word in Tools | Macro | Security.

What does the PDFMaker option do?

I just changed the security level in Word to "Medium" and it still displays
the message.

PDFMaker is a component of the Adobe Acrobat program that allows you to
create .pdf files from Office applications.

You must shut down and restart Word for any macro security change to take
effect.
