Ivent viwer shows error:
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk0\D.

Please help.

This crap happens all the time.

Usually means nothing.

Do you have any other symptoms? Does CHKDSK
find anything?

No, there are no other symptoms. CHKDSK is OK.

An occasional instance of this error isn't a major concern. However,
if you getting those on most every boot/session of XP then you've got
a driver issue or hardware issue with the motherboard. Some steps to
resolve it involve checking Jumpers, swapping cables and perhaps an
update of your Chipset drivers.
