The directory operation is still in progress

Hi all,

I have a printer that is attached to a workstation that is on a
network.

The printer is assigned locally and then shared out, but in the
properties box, under 'Sharing' it is showing as "The directory
operation is still in progress" and does not becaome available to other
workstations on the network.

Any ideas on how I can rectify this?

check the event log on the local machine and the domain controller for
errors. Win32 error 5 means access denied.
