The browsing through Inbox is a lot slower since SP2. Why?

It seems as if attachments of mails are now scanned immediately when simply
browsing top to bottom through my inbox (Reading Pane turned off!). When
browsing from top to bottom in my inbox with the cursor, mails with
attachments cause a delay. Mails with large attachments cause greater delays
than mails with small attachments. Mails without attachments do not cause any
delay in browsing. This is very irritating when you try to get from the top
message to a message at the end of the list.
This did not occur before I installed SP2 for Outlook 2003.
Does anyone know how this can be remedied?

open the olk folder side by side outlook so you can see if they are being
scanned using the normal method (of saving the document to the olk secure
temp folder)- if not, an integrated scanner could be doing it as they are
selected.
