Who is your Internet provider? Are you using *their* SMTP server? They
may not allow SMTP traffic to leave their domain unless it comes from
their own SMTP server (which means you are not allowed to send SMTP
traffic to some SMTP server that is not on their domain).

To what SMTP server are you trying to connect? If it is not on the same
domain which give you your Internet access then you are coming from off
their domain to use their resources. You haven't authenticated yourself
to that other domain so they don't know that you have permission to use
their resources. Make sure you configure the e-mail account so you are
authenticating to their SMTP server (if they permit off-domain
connections to their SMTP server).

You need to authenticate to your outgoing server. Set this up on the
"Outgoing server" tab of your account dialog.

Hello All,

I had same prob, called my ISP (not the guys hosting my mails) and got their own SMTP address. On applying this, it was gone.

Thanks to all for your contributions.
